Recipe Ingredients

Ingredients for making pineapple strawberry smoothie.

Pineapple: I used fresh pineapple for this recipe. Frozen pineapple will work just as well and will make the smoothie thicker too.

Strawberries: Fresh or frozen strawberries will be wonderful in this pineapple strawberry smoothie. You can also use strawberry syrup from my Korean strawberry milk recipe!

Banana: For creamy texture and sweetness. Choose a ripe banana. The riper the banana, the sweeter it is!

Cashew Milk: I love the creaminess of cashew milk in this recipe. You can use store-bought or homemade cashew milk or any other milk or yogurt.

Ginger: It adds just the right amount of sharpness to the strawberry smoothie! Feel free to leave it out if you wish.

Chia seeds: They pack a nutritional punch and make the smoothie heartier!

Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie Variations

This banana strawberry and pineapple smoothie recipe is very adaptable.

Here are some add-in ideas:

You can add protein powder or collagen.

Switch chia seeds with flax seeds, sesame seeds, or hemp seeds.

Use any milk you prefer - almond milk, oat milk, regular dairy milk, or even yogurt.

Swirl in a tablespoon of your favorite nut butter to make it heftier, like I did for my chocolate peanut butter smoothie. Or even oats like in this figs and dates smoothie!

Add veggies like spinach or beetroot, as I did in this beetroot chocolate smoothie.

How To Make Pineapple Strawberry Smoothie

strawberries, banana, and pineapple with cashew milk in a blender jar.

Step 1: Combine the ingredients - sliced strawberries, pineapple, banana, cashew milk, ginger, and chia seeds in a blender.

Blended fruits in a blender jar.

Step 2: Process until smooth and well blended. Taste and adjust for the sweetness and consistency that you prefer. Serve immediately and enjoy!

This pineapple strawberry smoothie can be stored in the refrigerator for a day, but it's best enjoyed right away! The longer the smoothie sits, the thicker it can get because of the chia seeds, as they absorb liquid easily.
